German universities, like most universities around the world, maintain a broad network of international partnerships. The DAAD supports such international partnerships through a number of schemes that aim to foster cooperation among higher education institutions.
In the eyes of the DAAD, the end of a funding period marks the beginning of a long-standing relationship with us. We aim to stay in touch with our alumni as well as help you get to know one another through a serious of programmes and activities. We also support you in setting up regional DAAD alumni clubs and other forms of networking opportunities.

Call for applications: international alumni workshop "EDSusChoice"
We are pleased to inform you about the call for applications for TU Berlin‘s international alumni workshop "Enabling the dietary shift towards sustainable food choice decisions (EDSusChoice)" taking place at Technische Universität Berlin, Germany from
10 to 16 September 2023.
The impact of global food production and consumption on economic, social, health and environmental aspects such as climate change and food security calls for a transformation of the food system. One way to achieve this is a "dietary shift", i.e. the change of the individual diet, towards a sustainable diet through choice, preparation and consumption of sustainable food.
The goal of the international alumni workshop "Enabling the dietary shift towards sustainable food choice decisions (EDSusChoice)" is to network and foster competences of Germany alumni, who are interested in the topic of sustainable nutrition. As a future multiplier, you will be equipped with potential solutions and tools for a dietary shift towards a sustainable food system.
The workshop brings together alumni of German institutions of higher education and research who reside outside Germany and are professionally engaged in the topic of sustainable nutrition.
The workshop is organized by TU Berlin's Chair of Education for Sustainable Nutrition and Food Science in cooperation with the university’s Alumni Program and will be held in English.
